To begin the submission process you must first create a contact which is done on the Contact Information tab. After creating a contact, additional tabs will appear that will enable you to upload and submit your presentation.

 

 

PIILC 2023 Call for Abstracts 

The Pittsburgh- Ireland International Lung Conference (PIILC) is currently accepting abstract submissions on all aspects of respiratory disease, critical care, and sleep medicine. 

 

Submission Guidelines

 

Abstract submissions should be a maximum of 750 words, 11pt, Arial font. Word documents should be the format used and any jpegs or figures embedded within the document, must be of clear resolution. Uploaded word docs should be less that 8MB. 

 

Abstract Title: 

• Full author list with first author underlined and asterisk (*) by the presenting author's name. 

• Author Affiliations

 

• Background, Introduction or Rationale

• Objective or Hypothesis (if applicable)

• Materials and/or Methods

• Results and/or Discussion

• Conclusions

• References (if applicable)

• Research Funding (if applicable)

 

All delegates are welcome to attend the conference, regardless of submission status. However, registration is mandatory for everyone attending, including presenting authors of accepted abstracts. 

All expenses associated with abstract submission and poster presentation are the presenter's responsibility. 

 

Please note that multiple abstracts from one organisation are permitted. However, only one abstract may be submitted per person. 

 

Authors should not split data to create several abstracts from the same work. If splitting is judged to have occurred, acceptance of all abstracts may be jeopardized. Case studies nor literature reviews will not be accepted. 

Abstracts that have been submitted to other conferences are permissible but should contain new data. Abstracts should not contain proprietary or confidential information. 

 

If a drug has a generic version, the generic name(s) should be used for all drugs that qualify. If using brand names, they need to be company agnostic, not promotional, and consistent throughout your abstract(s) and presenting poster.

 

Abstracts are accepted based on scientific merit and originality. 

 

The Deadline for Abstract Submission is midnight on Friday 4th August 2023.
